I noticed from response given elsewhere that the lack of destination in the traffic feed was impacting the ability of the sim to display them.
I did a very quick unscientific look between FlightAware (I think the provider) and FR24. For the same aircraft on a random choice of flights then FlightAware was more often missing a destination than FR24.
In the two images below AWC2A shows a BFS destination on FR24 only. I saw the same with a few other flights.
There definitely seems to be a missing data problem with Flightaware compared to Flightradar 24.
I wonder where Flightaware gets their schedules from. Maybe short-term aircraft changes on a flight (which currently happen quite often) cause this kind of missing match against scheduled data?
Also many airlines operate with short-term flight plan changes due to restrictions, causing different flight numbers, different routes, unexpected callsigns, ferry flights etc.
Given the bad data and thus traffic, Iâll probably switch to AI now that the bug there is fixed (despawning). Empty skies and silent ATC is pretty annoying.
When checking the departures on european airports I just see maybe 10-15% of flights without destination, e.g.:
So I canât really follow the explaination that there are SO many flights with wrong/missing data as explaination for the missing live traffic.
