Obviously a strange season - Mt Fuji

This is Mt Fuji, Japan, 9 Sept, 6 UTC, weather clear. Live weather setting. In the distant view the mountain surface is brown, which is correct for this season. However, in the near view, the mountain is crowned with snow.

Did you forget the image?

There are no seasons in MSFS. Its static satellite images. So there will always be snow when it is on the sat image.

EDIT: Atleast on Bing maps, theres no snow on Mt. Fuji, now you have to find out if its snow from an older satellite image, or indeed “dynamic snow” rendered by MSFS.

A screenshot would help here

Whether it is dynamic or not is easy to test, by switching away from live to any preset that does not involve snow and/or cold temperatures.

Thanks.
It is possible to use a pre-set or to use the MSF 2020 weather set to accumulate snow. However, if the near view is always snow-capped, the red rock surface of the summer season cannot be reproduced as it is in the far view. It is uncomfortable to have snow cover even though it is summer.

Right, so it’s the Bing imagery being different based on zoom level. That happens all ver the place, and as here it is most obvious if snow is involved.
