Oculus link help needed

I was hoping somebody could help get my quest 2 vr working again.

I had my quest 2 working pretty well using oculus link.

I wanted to try virtual desktop via steam vr so dowoaded steam, steam vr and sideloaded virtual desktop.
Got it working quite well but I thought the clarity was not as good as with the link so decided to go back to oculus link.

I uninstalled steam, steam vr as don’t have a use for it.

Now when I use link, the control tab does nothing and I can’t get my quest 2 to run msfs in vr.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Did you point to Oculus OpenXR in the registry and remove steam openXR?

Follow the steps for Non-WMR headsets. You need to reconfigure OpenXR to Oculus instead of Steam.

Ah ok, thanks. I uninstalled the oculus app and reinstalled it thinking it would do this for me.
