FLIGHT DETAILS

Join us this week for a fun flight around Solomon Islands in the southwest Pacific ocean. We will begin this flight on Guadalcanal, the largest island in the Solomon Islands, and proceed to the Ngella Islands and Savo Island. Flight time is around 1:08 in the Cessna 152.

AIRCRAFT

Recommended aircraft: Low & slow - C152 or similar piston aircraft

We will be starting at AGGU. Please load your aircraft 10 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the taxiway or parking.

MULTIPLAYER SETTINGS

Please adhere to the following settings so you can see everyone / be seen by everyone.

Variable Setting
Server North Europe
Multiplayer All
Live traffic As desired
Weather Few Clouds

COMMUNICATION

To communicate with others, a voice channel on the "Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord” at https://discord.gg/msfs will be available to join.

It is advised in this flight to turn off both aircraft collisions and terrain collisions. If you do crash, you can use “slew” mode to join the pack. If the pack will be too scattered before the first stop, we will use slew on a defined point to regroup.

An enjoyable flight, even though I had to bail halfway due to toddler interference.

Most of the community flights require using the North Europe server, and ‘all players’ turned on in the flight conditions.

If those were your settings, then either there was a server problem or next time try swapping to another server and swapping back. That often fixes it.

That was my mistake that I found out after the fact. I didn’t have All Players selected. :stuck_out_tongue: Next time I’ll have the right settings.

More screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

I was a little behind most of you due to having to go out and feed the dogs at the last minute before it began, but still it was great seeing so many people flying together. Next time I’ll bring something faster than a 152 so I can keep up better.

Don’t forget you can slew to make up the distance…

Or click on one of the green aircraft in the group on the World map and spawn there. Pretty useful for such group flights

I thought about that but didn’t want to cheat
