Hot Fix 2 and UserCfg.opt ; Are you keeping it stock are still tweaking it ?
i deinstall with windows add and remove apps tool and install the pmdg fom scratch, hope this works, if not i try your solution, thanks
yup it was just a steam update not in-sim update âŠ
Downloading X-box app worked for me. This is the most arcane update system I have ever encountered with any flight simulator.
Is anyone here getting the loop back bug from the Marketplace
Go to sim says you have to install from marketplace go to marketplace says no updates available ???
Or Asobo could learn to communicate and not let the community fester with anger and cannibalize itself ![]()
Dude, I think you misinterpreted what I was saying. I wasnât calling anyone a loser. I was imitating the folks who berate Asobo and brand THEM as losers inappropriately. My comment was in no way addressing anyone as a loser. Please re-read my comment if you donât pick up on that.
Trust me⊠it looks like this. I live in Florida where it rains like this daily during the summer. It doesnât ALWAYS look like that, but it often does look exactly like that.
Yes. Remember once youâre in MSFS you can always press Alt+Enter to go to windowed mode and it will show your version number in the top left of the title bar. Despite no in-game updating, youâll notice it is indeed 1.18.15 after the steam update.
Live weather still broken for me with wrong temps. Clear skies it is until WU6
5950x, 3080ti, 32GB RAM, SSDs. I think thats a high end system? It looks freaking awesome on this after SU5 Hotfix2. I do get a few CTDs but they fixed what they said they were fixing and CTDs were not one of those. And I did tweak the usercfg file to LOD 5 so yeah that may be the CTDs. But the clouds look pretty amazing and FPS is good so I will take it. I do see clouds a bit washed out once and it turned out the sun was right behind them and that makes a lot of physical sense. Other than that, clouds and the scenery look gorgeous.
The Pop-ins are still there but seems reduced somewhat. It is not ideal but I can live with this until Aug end when the WU6 is expected to fix that issue + CTDs.
Second that. Also slowing down the update cycle from monthly to every second month would do wonders.
It is one of the PMDG-generated WASM DLLs causing the crash. Are you running the latest update to the DC-6?
Are you running a mod to get that bridge to look like that? My version of that bridge looks nothing like that.
Few things Iâd like to see addressed in the next Patch.
- TAA/AA Improvements to bring them back to pre SU5 Levels
- Removal of RAM/VRAM restrictions on PC
- Reflection improvements
- Fix of oversensitive Trim in certain aircrafts
The LOD is not yet fully resolved âŠ
I am close to the mountain and as you can see, textures arent fully loaded ⊠
Yea def not fixed. When flying high, itâs like the ground under me pops in to some type of texture while the ground not near me looks like a whole different texture. I donât even care anymore. And temperature isnât fixed either.
Finally, after this 2nd hotfix getting some of them pre-SU5 good vibes. Donât wanna jinx it. Just wrapped up full IFR leg LIRF to LIML w/ the A32NX dev mode. Jam-packed community folder. Everything looking and feeling right again. Visuals still tad bit bright in daytime although pretty darn close to SU4, had suspension of disbelief moment once again
No more CTDâs (yet?) and had them repeatedly in world map with 1st hotfix. Performance in sim 20-30% improvement across the board. Sliders almost maxed on a moderate machine: intel i7 16gb ram rtx2060. Landing phase from top of glideslope to touchdown smooth as butter and seamless transition from flight to ground ops even in busy airports like KATL. Still seeing some 2-3sec stutters here and there at higher altitudes. ATC doing sth in the background? They usually occur around handoffs from controllers. Correct temps at cruise, altitude clearances still off by about 1,000ft after transition to std baro. ATC back to what it used to be (usual SU4 antics) but no longer going bananas⊠I must admit pretty livid past few days but my nerves have settled and I foresee a lovely weekend ahead.
