For the life of me I can not get the Darkstar past M3.68. It keeps beeping at me once I flip the SCRAM switch. Any ideas?
You need to enable the Fuel Cell first before the Scramjet kicks in. See how I do it in my flight earlier:
did you turn the scram fuel cell on? are you at or above 50,000 feet?
Iām at 80k ft, fuel cells on, max throttle
Just had a bash at the low level challengers in VR the countdown timer where the hud is stays I cant hardly see in front of me
Has anyone also had problems with the landing challenge? No matter how good or bad I seem to land at the carrier, it never catches the wire and asks to bolter
I have the g3000 v0.7.7 but experiencing the problem with the FA18 HUD.
I am pretty sure it is a mod causing itā¦ any suggestions?
Thank you
EDIT: I deleted the working title g3000 and gx. Now everything works!
Managed to get mach 10 out it and 275k feet and it wouldnt register any higher scramjets on at 80k feet and it just went ape ā ā ā ā and picked up speed at a insane rate
I canāt seem to get this darkstar jet to take off at all outside of the challenge. It just shakes and wobbles weirdly and is impossible to take off. However, it flies perfectly fine within the challenge. Anyone know of a fix for this?
I canāt get the afterburners to light off
Have you tried using 100% fuel instead of the default 50% fuel? It looks like the CG is out of balance starting at 50% fuel.
youāre not going fast enough I think
scramjet should be engaged between mach 3 & 4
Iām not a very fast learner usually and i was worried Iād never figure out how to blast into the stratosphere but with the couple of in depth descriptions on this thread i did it on my first attempt. Iām so grateful because to this point its been the most fun thing for me yet. I love this sim to death!!!
Sooo just took off out of Homey AFB in the Darkstar. You know that weird place in the mountains above vegas that dosent exist and where the real version of this thing is likely kept? Just friggin awesome.
Thats the thing about Dark Star. People say its fictional but I donāt doubt for a singe second that something very similar exists at Groom Lake and has done for a while. I remember back in the early days of the internet all the fairly credible reports of the Aurora hypersonic spy plane that was the supposed successor to the SR-71. And that was back in the mid nineties.
I tried this but it didnāt work apparently, exact same issue. Itās almost as if Asobo didnāt test this aircraft outside the challenge.
Was able to fly it out of Edwards AFB from the world map using 100% fuel without any issues. Will check again with lower fuel values, but the plane itself flies fine outside the challenge here.
