Offline GA Traffic - New v6.0 Release - Bug fix and new optimised flightplans

Yup the MSFS content installer said…"NOPE! You will use our default broken folder instead! Lemme get this common sense fix modded folder out of here before I allow you to continue!!!"

There could be a fix on the way, more testing is needed but the initial results were good :ok_hand:

That is good to hear!

After further testing, one small adjustment and more testing, the new fix appears to be 100% effective. Even with Ground Traffic at 100% using default live traffic, FSLTL, AIG or offline traffic there are no generic aircraft or liveries - there are airliners with blank liveries however, and I can verify that these are generated by the sim itself. I need to do further tests at various types of airport and airfield just to be sure, but the new fix should be released later next week.

Thank you, I thought it needed doing urgently!

So there are no blank liveries now?

That’s right, no blank liveries.

There is a thread on AVSIM where someone has posted that using AIG causes about a 5-6 FPS drop, which I would expect. But, it is reported that adding GA drops FPS by another 20%. Now, it may be that the poster is using the free GA addon, which uses different models, I believe.

But I can’t see how this program would cause that problem as the models appear rather simple. I’ll have to do some experimenting.

The freeware GA mod uses the default msfs GA models.

Is this mod any different, as that’s the same thing it did when it use to be free? Does it now have it’s “own” modeled GA planes?

As far as I know, there are five models that are unique to this product.

Offline GA Traffic uses the generic AI models which have no impact on FPS. The included fix will remove the generic airliners, and the stock GA aircraft which can have an FPS impact on some PC’s.

Thanks for a great add-on.
Using FSLTL with offline GA traffic and offline AI set to about 18.

Searching for a bit more variety to the GA traffic so I added VFR traffic to my FSLTL settings.
Looking at the FSLTL display, there were no VFR flights generated, but I did see some GA aircraft (Asobo C172 skis comes to mind), which I assume was FSLTL generated but just using an IFR plan.
Do you have any plans to add more GA models, or is there a way to add low impact Asobo GA models to the generation? As I said, I really like the add on, but seeing a bunch of Piper Aztecs gets a bit old.

Thanks

Even the low impact Asobo GA models will have more impact than the current generic AI models. When combined with whichever airliner AI package is also in use, the FPS impact could be severe on some PC’s.
If Asobo choose to add more generic models themselves, they will be incorporated into Offline GA Traffic. I’m currently working on a newer and simpler fix for eliminating the default AI of all types, which hopefully will be a permanent fix - it will work until the user removes it, not a future Sim Update.
By the way, has anyone tried using the MSFS Offline traffic mode since SU11? The low-flying airliners are gone, airliners spawn at sensible altitudes and they fly at different altitudes to the user’s plane. AI Ground and AI Flow work with offline traffic as well. I’ve even seen contrails!

Are your current AI traffic fixes still compatible with the latest AAU Update?

No, but an AI traffic fix which does work with AAU will be released next week.

Tried this last night, no working lights when the aircraft are in the air or landing. Only after landing.

They’re not easy to see in flight, or in this screenshot, but they are there:

No GA aircraft are landing for me, they just circle at high altitude over the airports.
