Title says it all. What hope is there.
The trick I learned with x-plane is to blink when the sim stutters - so that you don’t notice any stutters.
Non-final software that won’t be out for a month stutters. Stop the presses!
Wasn’t you told the rule yet?
They only see what they want to see, and only hear what they want to hear
Did you folks actually miss what they said about having already identified two performance issues and an hotfix is being considered?
If it was the case, they would not confirm world update 3 was not optimized and explained why, had to send data to Bing. Also the 7 branch on performance optimizing, and fix things they found already on performance.
Nope heard it loud and clear
I also heard that according to them, only some users are experiencing this fps loss and they might release a hotfix.
We will see, I’ve sadly got to the point with them where only their actions really show their true intentions, sadly not what they say.
Have you also missed the fact that many have said in this very forum that their performance has improved?
So yes. What they said is accurate. Only some users are experiencing the FPS loss.
One thing is for sure. They’re not oblivious as some would like people to believe.
You only have to read the forum or watch the live stream chat to see that the overwhelming majority have suffered negatively as a result of sim update 3, including myself.
Let’s indeed hope they are not oblivious, and release a hotfix promptly
Your idea of statistics is very elastic.
You have no idea of how many people have issues and how many don’t. People who have something to complain about are more inclined to go on a forum and post about it.
So yes. SOME is accurate. We don’t know how many there are, nor what percentage they represent.
Incidentally, I have the issue as well, but I won’t just assume I’m part of some fantasy “overwhelming majority” just because it happens to me and 100 other people on a forum.
I’m not having this debate with you, we are contributing nothing positive to this post.
That is not for you to judge. Incidentally, this post has nothing “positive” to begin with. It was simply an excuse to bash this sim’s developers, an occasion which you certainly took quite promptly. Funny you’d talk to me about “positive.”
I am also referring to miscro stutters which have always been there in the sim and are a big emersion killer.
These need fixing too.
I can only hope that the recoding to do DX12 in the summer will improve this areas somewhat, as I’m not sure we are ever going to get a fix for this in the legacy code which hammers one overloaded cpu core with all the graphics scheduling, while all your other cores run at 30-50% loading.
My machine is no slouch, but the cpu is typically only utilised to around 40% over all and the GPU to around the same, often less.
So much nice computing power currenlty being wasted.
I tis this one core legacy which means that even people with up to date cpus are finding the perfomance is not what they might expect fro their investment.
Being considered! Looking at the number people with high-end systems getting 15 fps, I sure hope its being more than considered. Maybe they’ll focus on high resolution flags or some new landing challenges. Who needs playable framerates?
I know that’s ■■■■■and cynical, but fix the darned game as a priority please.
Well if they can’t take criticism, why have a forum to subject themselves to such?
There’s a difference between criticism and mocking/bashing. This thread is not the former.
Agree. Once those doors are open though, hard to control what steps in
That sounds like something a Star Wars game developer would tell you.
Thanks for your feedback. Duly noted.
