OK, let me ask another way

Hmmm… Seems a little strange that these apps, installed by a single physical, human user, but under multiple scenario combinations of mode and feature set, would run so differently on the same machine.

Besides, I find that different apps have different issues under different situations. Sounds more like an app issue than an OS issue. I don’t like the idea of having to purchase more OS just to coerce it into running stuff that I install on it.

It is also strange that different 3rd party sim apps are capable (or not capable) of starting and stopping certain apps.

I am contemplating a course on Windows admin.

(I’m telling you, this hobby is worse than a motorcycle.)

If none of that were true I’d be out of a job. :joy:

Of course, I couldn’t just stop working on this.

I am finally successful creating a script that can be called from either Streamdeck or TouchPortal. I used your auto-shutdown feature.

Two key issues, one, I had to add a delay after starting all of the apps but before the Do-While because MSFS takes forever to start, and two, ‘start-process’ returns a process object than can be used directly with stop-process. I spent about six hours researching this!

BTW, this is the true answer to the original question.

Happy, happy holidays!
