On screen indication of sim rate

Unfortunately, in career mode, the toolbar blocks mods. I use Fs Simrate Bandit.

Thanks for that mod, I used to use Shift Z but that doesn’t work in career mode, but yours does!

ā€œPlease display the ratio, it’s impossible to know which ratio is selected. Moreover, please, disable meteo effect at high time compression ratio: this makes flying impossible.ā€

See related wish: Disable turbulence when using sim rate higher than 1

My simple workaround is to start the stopwatch on EFB - it will be shown on the map page and by looking at the time flow you can deduct if you’re back on 1x rate easily.

A much easier way is to just hit sim rate decrease a bunch of times (like ten or so), and then increase 4 times.

If you have Spad.Next you can bind all of these events to a single button push. Might be a more elegant way to do this, but I couldn’t get it to work.

Please display the simrate if it is not 1x. (like in former fsx)

Yes, it’s now unavoidable. We must have this possibility to display this information. is it really difficult fir developpers??

The EFB in the FBW A32NX has a Sim Rate indication on its screen. Why is this not a standard in the SIM?

I checked the EFB clock. It’s pretty accurate (I measured it with a stopwatch).

A post was merged into an existing topic: [Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

Great, except when you are in an aircraft w/o one built in and are in VR where you cannot interact with the EFB. Regardless, sim rate could use improvements - reset to normal control as well as display of the rate. Believe this was in MSFS earlier versions - pop up while adjusting the rate.

Yep, can also display the sim rate on a Streamdeck/Loupedeck using SPAD.

Seriously, instead of write here, do we have to contact Asobo Studio???

When I do long sea crossings I usually insert an acceleration of the Sim Rate to shorten the cruising times.
Similarly, in some critical phases of flight it may be convenient to slow down the Sim Rate below the normal speed to have greater control of the maneuvers.
At the moment the only way to make sure that the simulator is running at a speed different from the normal one is to take a look at the cadence of the clock or timers but it is not always easy to understand the actual state, so there is the rule of thumb to slow down the Sim Rate as much as possible and then increase it by four steps to return to the normal speed.

It would be highly recommended. I hope that the developers become aware of the problem and that they find a solution. Thanks

You mean 2 times up, or it will go to 4x

I’m using this SimRateEditor:

Come on Asobo.. please implement this

5 years later…790 votes… seems to be an impossible task, the little sim rate indicator.

Annoyed by it missing on every flight where I’m playing with simrate to skip long legs.

Why wait for Asobo?

There is a free app called Simrate Bandit. It is very small and takes up no resources. Works like a charm. Not only does it show you your current Sim rate but, as you increase it or decrease it, it also verbalizes it. I’ve been using it for a month now.
