On the tablet, top left corner is a bell, yellow background
Devs…make the background colour:
Green: Sim rate normal x1
Yellow: Sim rate X 2
Orange: Sim rate X 4
Red: Sim rate X 8

How about just adding it somewhere on the EFB? That seems to be the most sensible place to put it. Who wants to have to go into the settings to turn on the HUD every time just to see this?
I swear some of the design decisions made by Asobo are mind-boggling.

Looks like you added it in HUD, but you’re forced to enable HUD in Cockpit View to see that so it’s not a solution. It’s not possible to toggle HUD on or off either.
Why can’t it be added to EFB where the clock is, or have a togglable HUD?

Geez is that how they added it.
Not only behind a HUD alot of us delete but it’s also overly intrusive anyway.
All we need is ‘x4’ and colour code it based on speed rate.
But yeah perfect solution is to add it to the EFB next to the stopwatch/clock or colour code the stop watch and that DOT next to the stopwatch.
If you’re using a PC version, thankfully there’s a nice 3rd party addon out there that adds Sim Rate interface. It works for me. 
I set the HUD to show only in the exterior view, so if I want to know the simrate I just change the view to the exterior and keep the cockpit view clean.

In defense of what was implemented; this solution works during career mode also. Yes, it looks ugly, but at least it works. Baby steps
