Either big or a small fix, it’s difficult to justify it to be fixed unless a huge number of people is voting to be a problem. But since this happens on a specific kind of a scenario for a specific people and more of a minor annoyance than an unplayable bug. It doesn’t carry as much weight to them. And it doesn’t have that much of an incentive to get them fixed.
I’m not trying to defend them or anything. I’m just saying it to be as realistic and practical as possible.
It must be a bug triggered by a particular piece of hardware in that case. Neither my yoke, throttle, or rudder pedals trigger such a pop-up, and they are all connected via an external powered USB3 hub.
In Bios check that Legacy USB is enabled and also try different USB ports on the back of your PC, your MB manual may well tell you it’s favoured one that usually stays connected
You don’t know how many people are experiencing it, how annoying it is would be subjective to each individual, and you don’t know how difficult it is to fix.
Yeah, it’s affecting me too, but I live with philosophy of “c’est la vie”. So it doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers you. So it’s not that big of a deal to me.
That would risk a CTD. Why not plug it in before the sim runs? I know my sim will freak out if I press the switch that turns on my external USB hub. Having a dozen devices appear out of nowhere typically gets it to keel over.
Ah, I just re-read the OP. If it’s wireless the controller is probably going to sleep though disuse, then waking up again. Yeah, I knew there was a reason why I don’t use one of those.
Tried it, this indeed works as it should. But why not fix the issue and make the other thing work properly too?
I usually launch the sim and grab my stick while it’s loading.
I don’t get CTD when powering on my wireless controller, no stutter either, but I did build my system and quite happy with its performance. I only get the single popup message… into a long flight the controller may sleep as it should being wireless, when I wake it - its fine without popup, no CTD or stutter.
I’m still getting the pop-up when turning on my xbox series x controller connected to the pc via usb. Do wish there was a way of saving this controller profile.
