Open XR How to get back to Steam VR

Hi,

I tried downloading the Open XR Toolkit. But when I switch to VR in MSFS, though the Headset is recongnise in the Steam VR app it does nothing and the screen is black.

So I undeleted it but I can’t seem to get it work now in with just the Steam VR which is did perfectly prior.

Am I meant to remove somthing from the REG?

Using a ViVe HTC.

Seriously suspect your operation is wrong…
Open XR Toolkit is for WMR. Not through STEAM VR
When the game is running, directly CTRL+TAB will start the virtual reality
After executing CTRL+TAB again to exit VR mode, you must manually close the virtual reality.
Otherwise, it will be very stuck in 2D mode
Open XR Toolkit is a very nice software… I use it all the time… no problems

Hi
Just to clarify, I was under the impression as so many blogs say. that Steam supports OpenXr now.

Do you have it setup using the HTC Vive? OR are you using a the HP or Oculus? And the only software you downloaded was the OpenXR toolkit?

I am using samsung virtual reality.
Only the Open XR Toolkit is installed. The rest are system presets
Running VR mode does not start STEAM VR
Since you are not using WMR, you may have to connect in other ways
For more usage restrictions, go inside and continue to view

PS:Open XR Toolkit is just a plugin. After installation,
it will be embedded in OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality
If the game in STEAM supports this mode, it should be fine

The OXR Toolkit works with SteamVR headsets as well (I use it with the Index).

For OP - at what point are you switching into VR? In the menus, or once you’re in the plane? There is currently a bug with the OXR Toolkit that will give you a black screen if you have the FFR feature active and aren’t using any AA in the Flight Sim graphics settings. This likely isn’t your issue but it’s worth checking.

You could try unplugging the headset and plugging it back in. Hopefully you’ll get some other suggestions…
