Best business move?!, subscription for using Asobo/MS servers, long term support, and you can work on building paid addons (planes/scenery/tools). Controlled git with OS committee. Then you could add enterprise support for certified trainers etc.
Have a ton more pros vs cons, Microsoft has been going this route, FS should be treated as a platform not a game.
I don’t like subscriptions, we don’t like subscriptions, MS did not chose subscriptions for this game so probably they don’t like it for this particular game. Only the ones that can pay subscriptions like subscriptions.

MS thrives on subscriptions, it earns them the most money when it comes to the Xbox division. So yes MS does like subscriptions smh lol
Yeah, I assume that is true. But they said on some of the interviews on the internet that subscriptions are not in the plans. Anyways, they might like them probably. Thanks God the game is not subscription based. It has been discussed a hundred times everywhere so nothing new here

This would be wrong to change the model now for those who have already bought the game.
Loss fallacy - why would that be wrong to change the model? Keep the premium planes and skins and airports attached, let the base sim be free. Much better approach.
Cos I have already bought the game no way am I then gonna start paying monthly. Maybe if we get to the end of the apparent 10 year planned cycle of the sim, then I could understand maybe going down that route to keep the servers available.
