Is it just me? I can’t start my Openxr Developer Tool anymore. It’s direct closing again. Is it a bug since the last update? Please let me know if I’m alone with this problem.

It opens for me, I am looking at it.
Runtime Version: 106.2104.15001
API Version: 1.0.14
Maybe somebody can help me to fix this problem. Whatever I do, the aplication is not able to run. It always closes again directly. A reinstalation is not fixing it. Is ther a way to get an older Version to try. Or is there any cache data to delete?
Please help. I need the reprojection posibility.
Thank you
I would suggest a reboot and if that doesn’t fix it do a registry cleaning. That often works wonders.
I never had the Developer Tools running, always closing immediately from the first time I tried it. A search shows a lot of MS Store programs can show this issue. Actually, I have some more with the same symptomes.
There are some hints like reinstalling the program or the complete MS Store. After having nearly hosed my system with such experiments, I am no longer going down that path.
I even made a Windows repair installation which didn’t help either.
I would be very grateful for a solution, too.
Try this! It worked for me and uncmonkey did a fantastic job explaining the process. Hope this helps.
You are better off with reprojection turned off if all you do is MSFS. Of course, I guess without it working is hard to tell if it is turned on by default.
I would say the opposite. Ultimately its up the individual and their circumstances as to what is best.
It has its pros and cons like anything. But I love it when it works!
How can I do a registry cleaning? I´m not familar to this.
Hi,
You can download CCleaner, there is an option to do a registry cleaning. It’s free and it’s pretty good to do some janitorial work on your machine.
There is probably an option in W10, but I’m not aware of it.
Best of luck with your issue.
I use “Windows 10 Manager” to do the cleaning but there are free ones. CCleaner is one.
