OpenXR Runtime available outside of MS Store?

Hey CaptnJackBilbo,
in order to change the runtime do the following:

  1. Press WIN+R, type “regedit” and press ENTER
  2. Go to that patch: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1
  3. Double left mouse click on “ActiveRuntime”
  4. Change value to Runtime for:
    WindowsMixedReality: “C:\WINDOWS\system32\MixedRealityRuntime.json”
    SteamVR: “F:\Programme (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\steamxr_win64.json”

SteamVR-Runtime depends on where you’ve installed Steam or rather SteamVR itself.
Also notice, that you can download “WindowsMixedReality for Steam VR” via Steam (Link: Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR on Steam). But that’s not absolutely necessary in order to change the Runtime! :wink:
