Optimize performance and graphics in VR

I know allot depends on the headset and video card but just like optimization was done in 2D hopefully the same can be done in VR. The grainy look of the sim in VR needs improvement to be on par with other VR titles. Of the many titles out there FS2020 is the most grainy looking of all of them. No matter if the settings are set as high as they can go with the sim being a virtual slide show does it really help with the look of the sim. Using an HP Reverb G2 the sim can look so much better optimized for this evolving technology.

Is it possible that by “grainy” you mean the extreme shimmering that occurs all over the place but especially on autogen buildings at mid to far distance, trees, and many other objects when they are not up close? Especially in bright lighting conditions?

The shimmer problem is the #1 issue that needs to be fixed in VR, it was introduced with SU5 and is hugely detrimental for so many people, especially those using a G2 it seems, which was supposed to be the “showcase” WMR headset for this sim.

And even in 2D, shimmering can be a problem.

OR what else do you mean by grainyness?

If I could add to the OP, the graininess I see since SU5 is mostly related to cloud peripherals. As well, there is a grainy band that appears for me kind of on the horizon which is especially visible in cloudy scenarios at dawn and dusk. My headset is a Samsung Odyssey +.

Actually. Not really. If you turn on the way back machine, a method of blending shadows and colors was dithering. Ive always hated it. I think thats what everyone sees. Its horrible in fs2020. Even still. I just reinstalled it yesterday and its really noticeable on the strut shadow.

Heres an example
