If it was as easy as ignoring people in this forum then it wouldn’t be too hard. Everyone can just keep their own blacklist and people who are in there don’t show up in the sim, just like how their replies don’t show up in this forum.
Lmao This is is one of those moments where you laugh at somthimg (C 17) but it is not funny. I agree there should be away to block users.
I think this thread goes hand in hard with the one about requesting an open VoIP channel built in to the sim. The sort of person doing this would just love to be in that voice chat with everyone.
The best you can do is report it up the chain of command, as it were. Keep footage clearing showing their gamertag, and report it as abusive behaviour.
Limiting the class of planes allowed to join in the flight will not work against slewing, but you will not have a C17 or so in front of the porters or other small bushplanes. Too bad this won’t work on general servers.
If you can have FRIENDS, why can’t you have local to you FOES ?
Foes is far easier than friends, its a local block.
Friends are far more complex, but already exist, and require some considerable exchange of information to make them happen.
Disruptive players are one case when "Certain Pilots SHOULD be “left behind”
What is more surprising is that no 3PD has come out with a MP Blocking App !!
Sorry I don’t understand what you mean. Of course I want to “share moments” with other people. But I want to be able to choose who not to share them with.
How does me being able to block a troll have any impact on your experience with the sim?
It’s a form of gatekeeping, where someone doesn’t see a need for a feature, and thinks no one else should have it either.
I would certainly welcome the option to block people that are annoying me. We already have a list of users in the vicinity, where you can request them as a friend, or invite them to a private group. It just needs a “Block” button be added. If you don’t like or need the feature, just pretend it isn’t there, and go about your day.
I think his post was leaning on the “just with the ones you have in your friends list” as a possible solution.
I could be wrong.
No, I think that’s right. But let’s say you are on a group flight, in “All Players”. You don’t really have the time to invite everyone that you are enjoying the flight with to a private group, and then ask everyone to quit out of the flight to join that group, and restart it.
It would be far simpler to pick out the person being tiresome, and remove them from your sight.
I’ve seen some weird effects from private groups too. I was watching a stream with some people from a private group. I spawned at their location, and they were able to see me, but I couldn’t see them. I could sill stream snipe them, as it were, so if I had wanted I could have still spawned in some giant jet, and blocked the runway. Possibly they were in a private group, but still on “All Players”?
It’s a shame it’s not as easy to block someone in-game as is it in the forums ![]()

A pilot is a pilot is all good in theory. But we do get those who just wish to disrupt the activities if others for example spawning repeatedly inside the same player repeatedly even if said player changes spawn location. This should swing both ways as users should be able to be safe from victimisation and bullying from other disruptive users no?
