Orbx have released a fix for this that negates a lot of why this thread was originally created. It will appear in the in-game marketplace when those issues are resolved and is available now for those who purchased it directly from Orbx. Since the original reason for the thread’s creation have been largely negated this thread has had its day. Further details of what has been patched are available on Orbx’s website.

Duly noted! Do not buy anything on MSFS 2020 flight sim!! Nearly two weeks and the main patch being released, those suckers (like me) who bought from the market place are still waiting for the London Landmarks fixes to come through.
Quite simply, a cluster of f**kups from start to finish on this one. Does not give me confidence in MS or the marketplace. Orbx still isn’t off the hook for this one either considering it was them who started this. I won’t be forgetting this.
Orbx is suffering more than you from this Marketplace fiasco. Their reputation is being further eroded by MS selling the non-updated version, and they have other items ready to go on the Marketplace, but not released by MS.
Yeah the market place is total trash right now. TBH I wouldn’t be surprised if the broken market place is the reason Asobo haven’t released the aviators livery pack yet.
Had I known Orbx also did non-market place options I would have bought EGNM direct from them. But I only found out about them via the in game market.
Now I have an add-on that costs a fair bit that is completely busted up until the market is fixed and they can update it. I do wish the market had proper review options and not just a star. I’d like to see what people are actually giving their ratings for.
I didn’t buy the London Landmarks pack until I’d seen a youtube video of the updated version, showing they’d replaced the original Tower Bridge etc.
So then I bought it, knowing Orbx were selling it direct, but thinking I’d give the Marketplace a go.
Big Mistake.
The version on the Marketplace was not the latest version (and still isn’t), as I discovered on my first flight.
And several weeks later, we’re still waiting for the update, with no real apology, or even update about what is happening. The latest date they gave to Orbx was actually for today, but nothing has appeared yet, so that’s another milestone missed.

So I finally got the latest Orbx London city pack update. But still it is a joke that they are charging for this add-on they have literally just dumped the building on the scenery and not even attempted to fix the terrain issue’s even if they are directly below the building they are placing.
Now I have released a free add-on for the River Thames that fixes terrain height issue’s and have fixed all of the water height issue’s aswell as added some boats, uncovered hidden features and added some buildings, but the orbx scenery overides my fixes and ruins my work.

Have reached out to orbx to see if they can incorporate my add-on into there’s, but if not was thinking of seeing if anyone capable of adding good models into the sim would like to or will just take the time to learn to do it myself.
Not really as it’s the first chance I have had with the latest update. Is that how we are gonna deal with issue’s, hide behind the it’s spam comments or block posts about issue’s some don’t like.
I don’t want Microsoft accepting shoddy work and allowing it on their marketplace.
its ridiculously easy to fix the terrain issue’s especially in London around the river as it’s mostly flat.
If I can fix the terrain issue’s with my first ever add-on then a paid company can.
Why accept poor work when there is no need to, do not understand why anyone would argue against better quality.
