Updated to V1.0.1 through Orbx Central and now don’t have any power to the digital gauges. Avionics switches are on… Any ideas?
Have you got any of the JD’s “GTN In Others” mods activated? I’ve had that issue before with other planes.
Or maybe it’s a 3rd party livery for the PAC?
Turned out to be a conflict with the PMS GTN750. Updated that package and I’m back to normal- thanks for the idea!
Awesome video dude
Wow I really liked that video.
What am I missing here with the fuel figures? Seems the POH and MSFS Menu and Aircraft Gauges don’t all match…
@diverskii I have submitted a support request through Orbx about the fuel system of the PAC 750, and they replied saying that the dev is aware.
No timeframe was given as to when it will be fixed but they are “working on it”
Has anyone sorted how to map the condition lever. All the methods I’ve used for other aircraft fail miserably with the 750.
Cheers
Yeah, having the Kodiak, The Milviz Porter and a bunch of the GotGravel Freeware planes…I think I will pass. If you don’t own these planes, or do…and don’t care about a new plane in the hangar well then have at it haha.
This XSTOL looks really great though. Especially since they’ve integrated both of the main 750 mods out there.
Kodiak and Porter are high wing and glass cockpits, so this 750 is significantly different. Not to mention, it has four variants.
Yeah it’s definitely got its own feeling and character. Good value for what you get. I just hope and pray they pull through on their road map “promise” to add some other bits and bobs. If they could expand the Agriculture variant with a good way of actually doing that job, that will make it an essential purchase but I’m not getting my hopes up. They never actually said they will add mission / task functionality but that would be great. Maybe a clever modder could do it. They just said about bush trips (which probably won’t be interactive as you’d like), landing challenges, more liveries and custom sounds.
No I understand that I just thought since having these other planes this might be a tad redundant. Looks like a cool plane to have though
I like it, it’s just a little bit odd, and it scratches a couple of itches left by other planes that are either unpatched or (so far) just promiseware.
I always liked the digital engine gauges in the Mooney, but the lack of performance following sim updates (even with the available mod) means it doesn’t see much air time these days. The ones in the PAC 750 are similar, and the LED status rings around them are great for at-a-glance status checks.
The steam gauge version of MilViz’ PC-6 Porter has yet to materialize, and the PAC 750 fills that void with its operable beta range, reverse throttle, and XSTOL capability.
All that’s keeping this from being an all-around utility aircraft are variants with floats and skis.
On The real Pac750XL you can’t use beta range in flight! According to the flight manual you can use beta only on the ground! The Pilatus PC6 is the only plane that can use it in flight!
RE: the Condition lever, this works for me in AAO, although there may be better ways.
Set an axis to a variable:
A:TURB ENG CONDITION LEVER POSITION:1, Number
Set the axis to a min of 0 and a max of 2.
Awesome, I’ll give that a shot. Many thanks.
Thanks! That works well. Much obliged.
Not seen many reviews or any of the big names showing this aircraft - is there a reason its flying under the radar?
Maybe if and when they sort custom soundpack there will be some more coverage? Not willing to pull the trigger until that point but I love the idea of flying it around some rugged locations.
Well I’m not big name at all but I’m waiting for the plane to show up in the marketplace to test it and use it and make some videos.
I think one issue with this plane is that the plane itself is not very popular, not a lot of them are flying so if you look for realistic routes or uses you are in a struggle. I think I’ll find something but the Kodiak or the Porter are much more widespread.
I’ll be happy to comment as soon as it is available in the marketplace.
(Disclaimer: I live in a country where marketplace purchases are much cheaper than other stores due to local currency conversions so for this kind of planes I always wait for the marketplace version)
