Shortly after release, I purchased the ORBX EGLC scenery via their website to benefit from the 40% reduction. ORBX central then installed it into my Community Folder in my MSFS file path, a dedicated M.2 NVME stick. It sits there in the Community file, but Marketplace does not register it as “Owned”, so I could purchase it again via that route.
Should Marketplace recognise 3rd party add on purchases bought outside of MSFS?
That’s happened to me also. And weeks ago they are release “update” to sort this problem. But nothing is done obviously… And more, if we download any of airports mod, we should have star on the map. Obviously we have not. I just don’t understand why…

A simple solution to the problem of accidentally buying the same product you purchased outside of the “Marketplace” again inside the “Marketplace”, is to simply activate the “white heart” -symbol and consider it as a notice, that you have already bought that addon somewhere else. The “white heart” was initially purposed to act as a “wish list” marker, which doesn’t make much sense now, considering that the “Marketplace” products are all being sold weeks earlier through the developer web-shops.
