I’ve noticed that around the Oshkosh grounds, there are many areas of trees where the trees generate as terrain instead of being the generated trees. There are still visible trees that are the games generating, but many are inside of the terrain. I am using the Pilotedge Simventure scenery. Is there a fix to this or do I just have to deal with it?
Hey there, I would see if you could contact the developer. It might be a conflicting issue that wasn’t resolved when they created the scenery for Oshkosh.
Looks like they have a place to contact them via their website: Contact PilotEdge - PilotEdge.net
Note: they also have a Discord.
My best advice at the moment is to perhaps uninstall it and see if related to the scenery pack you’re using, or if it’s a photogrametry issue.
it’s possible to fix some of this yourself using the scenery tools in Developer Mode. You’ll create a scenery package with an exclusion rectangle around the trees you don’t want, either the autogen ones or the photogrammetry. It might be a bit much for a first timer or for a single event where you’ll only visit the location once, but there are detailed YouTube tutorials on how to do it:
