It’s true that the approach isn’t shown on the FMS, but if you have access to Navigraph charts, you’ll see the approach and the points where you need to change course

No internal EFB available on drop down menu.there is an inibuils one or whoever, but it is as if it’s cold and dark. Are you supposed to pause the certification and set it up?

That’s what I’m calling “cheating”. You’re supposed to fly IFR with an ILS approach. The certification test should not drop you in the air without the FMS properly configured.

Or just pop in and out and follow external HUD. It’s got the magenta line.

I have the same issue. I don’t have a navigraph subscription so that doesn’t help. Also, if I press ESC, I don’t get the flight path line indicating where I should change direction. I checked settings and the relevant assists and they are disabled and cannot be enabled. I have seen some videos on different ways to get around the bug, but all of these seem to have been disabled now. You can’t even setup the FMS to identify where the first nav MD480 is located.
Very frustrating.

For the certification I did not have to set up the FMS. I don’t know if they changed it but normally the certs have this pre set enough for you to complete mission.
If on PC press whatever button to go external - ensure you have this setting set up to see a HUD before you do the mission - see bottom screenshot.
Ignore the message to climb, ignore any vectors or ILS ATC might give you, it’s just confusing at best. You just fly this route to the runway - 32L Madrid Barajas Airport - if you decide to set up FMS, choose the RNAV app. into it - press pause to do it but you can hand fly it.

This is the flight path app plate. Set your speed to about 150 and hand fly this route.

This is where you set your external HUD
