Brief description of the issue:

Scenery BIKF (Keflavik, MKStudios) in my case in the marketplace is listed as “available” instead of “owned”, although I bought it some time ago. Luckily it is still displayed in my content manager. The bug appeared, when MKStudios published a version-update of this airport. I filed a ticket to the support, which unfortunately was slosed unsolved confirming, that this is a marketplace bug but I would like to collect community member votes to solve this bug and to escalate the search for a solution.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

You can only find these issues (if applicable for you) when filtering “owned” in the marketplace and comparing the results with the list of items, that you have bought from the marketplace. In my case I searche for new MKStudios airports and found BIKF / Keflavik as available instead owned, allthough I bought it from the marketplace.

Hi @MarbleFeline359 ,
Can you edit your OP & add a screenshot of the page in the Marketplace where it says “Available” to the “Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:” section.
Thanks.

Yes, but I own it. - From the beginning of MSFS I started to maintain a list containing all addons, that I bought, together with the shop where I bought it (e.g. Microsoft Marketplace, SimMarket, Aerosoft, Inibuilds and so on
).
Also my profile manager shows the proof, that Keflavik BIKF (my “problem case”) is installed in official and not in community and MS-Support has confirmed, that I own it from Marketplace.

BIKF (version 1) was recently removed from the marketplace! Shortly afterwards, version 2 of BIKF was released!

It’s not an update! BIKF (v2) is a completely new, paid version! (That’s why it says ‘available’ and not ‘owned’!
You can install version 1 anytime via the content manager (because you own it), but you will no longer find it in the Marketplace. It has been replaced by v2!
MK Studios has already done this with EIDW in the past. And just recently, Pyreegue has replaced his old version of EGPH (which was flawless) with a new one! Seems to be a new trend

The Keflavik Airport update you mentioned is not an update but a new product that requires an additional purchase.
We’ve always advised against buying from the marketplace. If you had purchased it on Simmarket or ORBX you would have received a discount on the new version of the airport KEFLAVIK BIKF V2 Simmarket.

BIKF Keflavik Airport V2 - Microsoft Flight Simulator - Orbx (orbxdirect.com)

If the marketplace staff have removed the previous version of Keflavik Airport, it will no longer appear as purchased for you because that version is no longer available on the marketplace. Please refer to the screenshots below.

As you can see only BIKF v2 is available on the marketplace. The v1 version is no longer there, which is why it doesn’t show up as purchased.

Fly safe capt!

Thank you, this is an explanation but not customer-friendly to pay twice for the same product just to receive an update (not Microsoft’s fault).
So I will try to use the support form to receive a refund for the withdrawn product and rebuy the actual version after that

How did the refund go? If not good you could send a message to the developers and ask if there is some solution.

It will be refunded to the original payment method (so it was in my case too).
If you paid with a Microsoft balance it will be refunded to your Microsoft account;
if you paid with Paypal it will be refunded that way and so on.
