I don’t want to be one of those always complaining about Carenado – but I have to comment, and hopefully get some feedback from other Carenado PA44 owners.
Even after Patch 1.5.0 (3/27/2021), the Instrument lights are still “Terrible”
(1) When the panel light are turned all the way down, at the lowest setting, it goes FULL Bright, far brighter than it can go if you turn it all the way up.
(2) The Transponder changes to Reverse video at night … Nice effect, but why is this not controlled by the day/night switch ?
and thirdly, and the most annoying, far more that the two above.
(3) The Status Display is best described as “PATHETIC”
Its virtually unreadable, unless you zoom right in.
Its a STATUS Display – It has important information – it always be easily viewed and read by the pilot !!
- Its contrast ratio is very poor.
- The Font is “skimpy” and thus faint, and not easily readable.
- And the backlight is not controllable ( and is pathetically dim)
If Carenado can get all the Plane’s textures so good, and the modelling so good, why cant they make the Gauges Illuminate & display correctly.
However, what is even more surprising, is that I have not seen anyone else comment on this.
