Did that work for you i did the same as you for 2020. What did you use for nvidia?
It didn’t, sadly. I’m basically back at FS2020 until they fix the new sim. On the devs forums, I read that even the Package Builder from the sim is not saving the KTX2 files properly (which could be a decent reason for not making the paintkits available), so I guess we still have to wait a little while until things get better and the paintkits are released
Hello, there is an amazing solution to save correctly the KTX2 files.
But the only complete livery that I found with the correct file structure is for the Beaver DHC-2, I wainting for the Cessna 172 classic.
Regards.
Is it possible to either have a photoshop template or better still a blender file we can texture for the purpose of creating unique liveries of default aircraft/ helicopters for the community. Thanks very much
Most third party developers offer a downloadable paint kit, that might be a good place to start
10 months since release and still no paint kits for the most important default planes, A310, A330.
What’s the word from Microsoft / Asobo on the arrival of Paintkits?
Still waiting on paint kits for those too and for Local Legends.
It is almost comical that the 2024 livery section on flightsim.to is mostly filled with 3rd party liveries because nobody bothers to do liveries for the default planes. I would be curious to see how big an impact MSFS 2024 had on user content, because it feels like crickets…
Now, as the important bugs are fixed, it would be nice to get paintkits and/or a SDK for the default planes.
With MSFS2020 there where a huge varity of free- and payware liveries. Please let it happen in MSFS2024 too
I thought that I could choose a Cessna 172 in a color that approx matches the color scheme for my “Airline”, as making something myself is still out of range. MSFS 2020 had different liveries for the standard aircraft, so I was schocked to find that if you fly the Cessna 172 (which I am now doing to learn flying from the ground up - in the career mode I spent more time trying to figure out why something doesn´t work rather than flying) it has only one livery, take it or leave it. Asobo needs to address the Issue of making liveries accesable to people wanting to do some. It´s totally clear that Asobo has way more things to do than to creat dozens of liveries for their planes. Leave that to the community. So I also support that Asobo does something about the livery issue.
Completely agree. There are tons of high quality liveries for 3rd party planes but nothing good for default planes. All of the default plane liveries on flightsim.to look bad except for maybe a few. No professional livery makers seem to bother with the default planes which is a shame because they look really good now in MSFS2024, like the 747s
