Does anyone know how to simply pan around the cockpit? I just want to look down between the seats and see where my trim wheel position is set in the Piper Arrow.
Mouse? Arrow keys? Binding to thumb stick on yoke??
I’ve tried toggling “free look” under views, but it just locks up the sim and I’m unable to change it back without a restart.
Personally I use a head tracker (TrackIR5).
Mouse: Hold the right mouse button and drag. It’s not very intuitive, since you’re dragging the camera, and not the scene, so it reacts the opposite of what you expect. Even after all these years that it’s been out, I still go the wrong way sometimes, but it works.
That wasn’t very helpful. Rather than saying how to do it with what they have, you tell them you just use third party hardware.
To the OP: right mouse and drag, or click the scroll wheel down and drag if you don’t want to hold the right mouse button. I also configured the hat switch on my joystick to pan around - there are specific camera control bindings in the settings which will also show you any keys already assigned to do that.
