A bit of appropriately blue sky thinking here, but assuming that there will one day be a few aircraft that will be suitable for this, it might appeal to some people to have a paradrop mod, whereby a target point could be nominated on the ground by a flare maybe to both mark and give wind indication and then to lob not only people, but pallets of cargo out of the back to descend in all probability, absolutely anywhere other than the desired target. Some sort of scoring or analysis for those that like these things might go down well with some sections of the community.
While I am at it, there is another idea for when some developer brings a Hercules out. Capsules of film, largely from old school spy satellites were retrieved in mid air from a specialised version of Fat Albert, the C130. If memory serves well, I think it was the MARS program. Planning your flight and timing to enable you to spot the parachute in time to snatch it mid air and winch it in, could be an interesting diversion.
