Neither setting a switch to toggle the parking brake nor setting parking brake “on”/“off” work for me. The sim’s defaults for the Honeycomb Bravo is key 44 “Parking Brake On” and key 45 “Parking Brake Off”. These two keys correspond to the rocker switch that is sixth from the left in the center group of 7 unmarked rockers. The up position is key 44 and the down position is key 45. I’ve tried deleting and manually resetting these key bindings as well as trying to use the key bindings on “Parking Brake Toggle” instead. No luck on either.
Tested separate parking brake on / parking brake off bindings on half a dozen aircraft in 2020 from different devs - neither binding actually does anything, either on a pair of mfd buttons or on a two way switch on a quadrant (up=on, down=off). The toggle parking brake is the only way to work the parking brake w/o using a mouse.
This bug is in both 2020 and 2024. So much for quality control.

• yep same here. Parking brake toggle works but I don’t want that - my orion2 hotas has a switch for on and off. If I bind those and yes they take… they do not work. TOGGLE does work but it’s stupid to have to turn the parking break off and then on to toggle it on or off. DLX11, win11, all latest everything. 14900/4090 - I have LOTS of issues binding controls and having them STICK.
Just the same for me. Fitted a new HC Bravo, remapped all switches and have not yet found an aircraft for which the bound “Parking Brake” works. Same for fuel pump.
This WAS working fine up until about 1-2 weeks ago. Flying a Cesna 172 it worked perfectly. I’ve come to use it today and all of a sudden its stopped working. VERY annoying!!
I have the same issue, parking brake toggle works (sometimes, yesterday it worked, today it does not), break on/off switches work only using keyboard, not throttle stick buttons (x52 pro),
toggle also works btw only with keyboard binding ctrl+space
This parking brake issue is an intermittent problem for me too. The key bindings don’t seem to be consistent.

After trying all settings with Toggle/ON/OFF options found that using
Set Parking Brake as the bind actually works. Control now toggles
correctly.
Now just got to get Landing Gear working.
Works for me as well with Honeycomb Bravo.
Although this report is marked for msfs2024, the bug has also been present on msfs2020 from the begining too.
And in last msfs2020 update 1.38.2.0, it is still impossible to use the shortcuts defined for “parking brakes on” and “parking brakes off”
Just wasted over 1 hour trying to bind the parking toggle on/off to my new Virpil CM3 throttle.
As I’m new to this kind of hardware, I was thought I was doing something wrong the whole time.
Now finding this thread, it seems it’s not my fault but a classic FS bug… voted.

• THIS IS A VERY OLD ISSUE! please fix this - tail draggers will nose down and crash on landing if parking brake is accidentally turned on before landing. Difficult or impossible in some aircraft to determine the state of the parking brake visually. A toggle gives no information as to ON or OFF state. Separate keys are required.

Just tested with the C172 and it seems to work now as it should.

Could you add the msfs2020 tag as it is the same bug on both sims ?
(and maybe check that the bug is logged for msfs2020 too ?)
I can concur that the problem has also happened to me. NX Cub & Cessna 172 are the two planes I’ve tested so far… though I’m sure it’s probably all of them, based on what others have added-- at least that’s my impression.
It’s definitely a binding issue and not specific to any specific piece of input peripheral. In other words, it’s happened on my throttle quadrant buttons, as well as both my keyboard & joystick buttons.
I’m hoping that SU3 solves the issue.
