Forget floats. I’m waiting on the definitive Bell 47G. The Wayne Industries version.

I still flew a lot today with the bell 47 helicopter. This is a fantastic, wonderful, realistic model. Thank you very much to the developer. The flight dynamics and physics of the helicopter are the same as with a DCS simulator. I recommend to everyone! It is also very important that we receive continuous repairs and support for the helicopter.

Latest update is out, either through your heli manager or direct from our site = FlyInside B-47 - Updates

Changelog is there

And I’ll pop it here lol

  • Radios no longer die after flying for too long
  • Lights no longer die after flying for too long
  • Compass now displays magnetic heading rather than true
  • Wind now comes from proper direction for physics calculation
  • Fuel capacity updated to 61 gallons
  • Fixes giant CG out of warning error in MSFS
  • CG now affects cyclic input/has rotational effect
  • Radio/transponder now sync with MSFS, can be used with ATC
  • Various reliability improvements to HeliManager
  • Decreased fuel burn rates

Thanks, Tony.

Just hopped in and away, smoooooth flight, thanks for keeping it updated.

If this gets pontoons I’m buying it! I will buy this eventually, looks way too cool. I’m not really a heli guy, but this is a great choice of copter and looks really well executed! I’m just WAY over budget for sim add ons for 2021 and it’s only May!!! But I couldn’t resist it if it had a pontoon version!

Come on, temp me a bit more.

Always happy to tempt a customer, but very early WIP and won’t be ready for a few weeks or so

So how much loss of airspeed and payload do you get with those huge floats?

Also is the handling affected in other ways such as weathercocking with those?

Going to be fun dealing with those.

New video flying the update. Still loving this chopper. After I made this I noticed it almost handles better with passenger.

Thank you so much for your thorough post. I was pretty excited to go home and buy this after work, but as soon as you mentioned the external software… nope, I’m out. I wouldn’t try to tell developers how to make their products (or how to protect them), but I’m not going to have any extra processes from strangers running on my PC unless they run ONLY when I have MSFS open and ONLY when I want to use the helicopter that the process in question relates to.

Having such things running in the background at any other time is simply a no-go for me. Outside of the times I’m choosing to use a developer’s product, my PC is my PC; they don’t get any rights to run anything on it at any ā€œnon-helicopter-flying timesā€. Other’s opinions may vary, and that’s totally fine.

EDIT: I’ve seen from other posts that the process has been updated to run only when you’re actively using the helicopter. Totally acceptable. Good call, devs! Headed home to buy me a Bell!
