PC-24 is completly broken

Regarding having no sound or missing textures:
Delete the folders
microsoft_pc24, microsoft-aircraft-pc24 and asobo-passiveaircraft-pc24
in
WpSystem\S-1-5-21-1277934648-1847673097-1090865477-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\StreamedPackages

(This is in my drive F:\ having a MS store version. I do not know for owning the Steam version or having it installed on C:. Just search for “StreamedPackages”).

And restart the sim. They will be downloaded again - now with better server response.
This repaired having no sound with the A321 for me.

Carenado responded to me about this issue.

We are aware of the issue and contacting MS regarding it for solving asap.
We developed it for MS and we submitted it working.
Carenado

Sounds like we shouldn’t hate on Carenado as it appears that they submitted it working.

I did get the PC24 going ok from cold and dark and with a Ctrl+e, however, the gear won’t come up after takeoff. Anyone been able to get the gear up? I w tried both toggle gear and gear up commands.

Those who have been hating on Carenado are lame. They wouldnt submit a broken airplane haha. Im glad to see they got back to you!

In general we shouldn’t hate about bugs. Bug free software does simply not exist and I’m sure any dev on this project is going to resolve the issues on their babies.

However while it could have been in working state on submission there is a fair chance Carenado used some kind of workaround for some things which were a thing on MSFS 2020 and on the development alpha versions but won’t work anymore on the release version. Such things might also be documented on the SDK.

I also remember that glass instruments at some point did stop to work on the PMDG 737 and they blamed Asobo for causing that while they used some funky way of implementation basically nobody else used as it was not the described default way of rendering auch things.

Asobo however will reach out to Carenado when they found the issue - that’s what they also did on the 737 topic.

• Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Starting on runway, plane is totally unusable. Starting cold-and-dark, Ctrl+E works, however, landing gear does not work at all.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• Same as OP

No add ons - nothing in community folder - not Dev mode - Windows 11 Store edition

Landing gear does not work - though the copilot keeps yelling at me to “Press / to retract the landing gear” Neither the KB or my mapped joystick button will retract the gear - even though they work on other planes.

I have found a workaround to retract the gear. Intentionally crash the plane after takeoff - you’ll be restarted Midair with gear retracted. Unfortunately I’ve not been successful at belly landing with the gear retracted yet.

Sheesh. I guess it’s a first… inop on PC and working on xbox

YES

Try using this aircraft, not a singel button nor lever works.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

would you look at that, runs fine on the console the game was made for… what a supprise.

It matches the hypothesis that the wrong version is being streamed.
I don’t want to @ anyone but it would be really cool if a moderator or community manager can help us get this to the team because it might be an easy fix and will give us the working plane.

Hello @LuisArgerich,

We have already escalated internally the reported issues players are experiencing with the Pilatus PC-24.

Thanks,

Thank you! Appreciated!

Come on now Seedy, these are obvious issues and not some hidden bug that pops-up when you are at FL320 doing something crazy after two hours of flying. Reports like these shouldn’t even have to be made in the first place.

If they dont know these already i’m afraid i’m done with this tbh.

And it’s not against you, I have lots of respect for you guys that are put here to cleanup their mess.

wonder if any other aircraft suffering from this ‘streaming the wrong version’ issue. Because… dayum… it would explain somethings (because I suspect the SAAB 340 may suffer the same issue, although not as bad as the PC24).

Also, seeing it flying properly on the xbox gives me hope, PC24 was one of the primary reasons I even got the PD edition.

What a shame.

I paid for premium deluxe and most aircraft are bugged. This was the plane I was looking for and it just sits there doing nothing.

I saw this in the list of aircraft offered for 2024 and thought it was a good reason to upgrade:

I love business jets
I don’t need in-game ATC (I use BATC)
I don’t need Career or that other stuff
I can handle a temporary lack of awesome scenery
I have a very straightforward controller setup

This should be great, right? All I need is for the plane to work reasonably well! Here we go!
