PC froze with buzzing sound seconds after MSFS live weather update

Brief description of the issue:

I was flying the PMDG 737 from KMDW to KLGA, when somewhere over Pennsylvania my whole PC froze and the speakers started making a buzzing sound, a second or two after the MSFS live weather updated and my plane swayed in the wind. I waited like a minute, nothing worked, and I had to force a shutdown by holding the power button.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Well, I highly doubt this is completely reproducible, I was cruising at FL350 at Mach .77 with live weather on (basically clear skies, from a real weather map it looks like there maybe should’ve been clouds). Then the live weather suddenly updated (I still didn’t see any clouds), my plane quickly swayed in the wind, and after 1-2 seconds my PC froze and the speakers started making a buzzing sound.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

i5-10600k, GTX 1660, 16 GB RAM
