I’ve had a notification while in MSFS2024 that all my aircraft from MS2020 (native or marketplace) are now imported and available.
However.. I still notice two particular absences…
Has anyone seen the Pelican or Ornithopter in FS24 yet?

Nope. I do see there are Ornithopter-specific controls available, however. Not sure what’s up with that - maybe the plan was the make the ornithopter available and the plan changed, or maybe they just haven’t migrated that content yet.
Still no one has any sign of news of either the Ornithopter or Pelican?
I also would like to fly both in the new game.

Yeah MSFS 24 is my first engagement in this franchise, and I was really looking forward to fly mainly the ornithopter after seeing it in 2020, but it isn’t here… I guess it’s close to the least of their priorities rn but I will still love to see them implemented again.
The Pelican (Asobo-aircraft-pelican) can be manually copied over from the official 2020 folder, and into the Community folder. The screens won’t work though, which is why it’s not “official” yet, is my guess. It’s a loss if you do not have 2020 installed, though, until the marketplace opens up some time this year.
The Ornithopter and Darkstar I have not been able to get to fly though, following the same procedure as the Pelican. I guess it’s because of the “Expansion pack” they are a part of. (Dune and TopGun), which are potensially not working at all in 2024?

I wonder if we can save the Darkstar with a Lockheed Martin SR-72 licence though…?
After yesterday dev stream i really hope, they will negotiate the rights for transfering the Ornithopter into MSFS2024. In between the time, they could work on Pelican. I know, the game is about real planes, but these planes are fun to fly fo relax.
Still thinking how it would be, if Ornithopter would be added into career mode for flightseeing

I got the Pelican to work in 2024. Not all of the buttons work. For example, I can’t open the cargo door. So it’s not perfect but still lots of fun.
To get it to work simply copy the following folders from your 2020 MSFS 2020\Official\OneStore and place them in your 2024 community folder.
Asobo-aircraft-pelican
Asobo-vcockpits-instruments-pelican
Note this method will not work with the Darkstar or the Ornithopter.
The idea of an ornithopter predates Dune (so the studio don’t own that), and while the particular design belongs to the studio, the flight model was presumably developed by Microsoft, and they may own that.
In which case I wonder if Microsoft, if they can’t reach a deal with the studio, could get someone to design a visually different ornithopter using the same flight model?

Before update SU2 i tried it as well. After the update, its not working for me anymore. And since im playing on potato PC and i can use Geforce Now, i would welcome official way of having the plane in the sim as i could enjoy it in full beauty then on GFN.
Hmmm… i just noticed, that the controls for Ornithopters in the settings are gone … Is it just me? Or Ornithopter will not arrive at all? 
With the announcement of the Halo 1 Campaign remake, maybe it’s time to port the Pelican to 2024 officially
Probably because those aircraft are encrypted, the Pelican isn’t.

Yeah, i also think, that Pelican will be that surprise. I hope, it will have working wheels Id like to taxi on the taxiway, not hover over taxiway
And yeah, i dont have any other hopes for Ornithopter … Well, it seems, msfs20 will be still on my drive
