After the update I noticed that my i5 8600k would have 2 out of 6 cores at 100% usage when dense photogametry was being loaded bringing stutters and low performance. They would stay at 100% even after going back go the menu. Only when running the task manager in the background would the 2 cores go back to normal with better performance so now every time I run the sim I have the task manager open. Windows 10 gaming mode is on.
I’ve always had a bit of a reluctance to reinstall windows and having been “forced” to do a long overdue reinstall recently, to put my OS onto a new SSD for a new build, I can’t figure out why.
It was all relatively painless, especially as I had the comfort of knowing that all of my documents etc, were safe and sound on the former OS drive.
It won’t be as long before i do the next one, for sure.
