Has there been any new information from Asobo on this issue. To my understanding this was supposed to be resolved with one of the past SU but lately I’ve noticed the issue remains. Any flight that takes up to 2 hours, performance begins to drop.
Furthermore, once on final approach, I start to get some stutters that just ruins the whole experience.
Note, this is with airliners. Don’t know if the GA planes suffer from this.
My specs:
i9 12900K
3080 Ti
32GB DDR5
4K 48 OLED TV
Nvme SSD
If you can get two hours in, you’re doing well.
There are quite a number of posts here from folks that get that drop, accompanied with a CTD on flights not much more than an hour.
There does seem to be some work still to be done.
No word from Asobo yet, but bear in mind that SU8 is supposed to fix a bunch (no-one seems to know what yet) of issues that are outstanding.
If your running PG try this, when you fps starts to drop into the toilet turn off PG, and go back to the game, your FPS should either return or be better, wait about 5 min and then turn it back on and all should be good for awhile. Sometimes turning off the rolling cache seems to help as well.
I have not run into that yet. I hear people talking about it. I routinely fly VFR low and slow with default G36 2 to 4 hours and have not noticed any degradation over time. Granted I am almost always in the American west but do a round trip Phoenix KPHX and Tampa KTPA and KPHX to KGPI Kalispell Montana twice a month.
Same here. Fly similar craft and haven’t noticed this issue. The closest I do come to this issue is when I end a flight, shut down my plane and it hits the logbook screen, when I press continue and start the plane back up for another leg I do get some pretty hard stutters during taxi and takeoff. I should just disable the logbook and see if this fixes the issue, of course
