ISSUE DESCRIPTION

After returning to the UI from a normal flight, moving the mouse across the screen leaves a permanent trail of pointers.

These remain on the screen and constanly buliding in numbers even after changing the UI page

They eventually disappear when I start a new flight, or exit the sim.

They do not occur a rectangular area in the top left of the screen - this may be a clue to the problem.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every session.

Have the same with VR cursor, I have a feeling it has something to do with the new 16:9 one eye crop mirroring to the monitor.

For me with Crystal OG the trail is sometimes visible, sometimes not. Unable to find the reliable way to reproduce it.

Same for me with HP G2.

Thank you for the bug report.

Same here, mouse leaves trail in main menu , also PC crashing when trying to open the settings menu, PC frozen and have to hard restart. RX9070XT. 25.9.1 driver.

Same issue for me, started with the second SU4 build.

Same for me, only started with SU4 second build. Pimax Super, 5800X3D, 4090, 64GB RAM, Win 11.

Same here, SU4 second build, 9800x3d, 5090, 64GB RAM, Varjo Aero.

It’s not only the mouse. The touch pointer also leaves its own trail.

You can also see that annoying “Disconnected” pop-up that keeps appearing in flight.

Some issues for me but with Meta Quest 3 controller.

Quest 3, 7900 XTX, MS-Store version: Got this bug only once so far since the SU 4 Beta release.

Saw this online and it fixed this issue: In MSFS 2024 go to Settings > Accessibility > Effects and Animation, and ensure the “Allow 2D cursor on all peripherals” option is off.

This option is already off for me.

I tried turning it off and on again, running with it on etc, but I saw no effect on this problem.

It looks like it may work for some people though, so worth a try.

I wonder how many older people flashed back to old acid trips because of this bug? lol

I have the same issue once I click esc to go to menu, also when I go to world map.
Once in the sim avatar mode or in plane is gone and mouse works again without trails.

I have an AM4 Ryzen 9 5900X with Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RNDA4 RX 9070 XT running in FSR4.
HP Reverb G2 VR headset.

Older people?!?

I haven’t seen any of this behaviour.

Quest3 running Virtual Desktop, 4090

had this behavior only once since the beta release

Quest 3, VD, 7900XTX

It’s not always there.

I don’t get the problem when I first enter the sim in VR. For others it may be different of course, but for me it does seem to trigger after I’ve had a flight, and return to the UI, still in VR. And this is 100% reproducible.
