So after a little playing and being somewhat happy with the performance of my 3090 and Streaming Assistant, I decided to try out Virtual Desktop. You guys were right, a noticeable uptick in clarity and performance. Still not perfectly clear but gauges are readable at normal distance. I’m also impressed with how smooth it all works, even sitting at around 30fps with TAA. Switching to DLSS Quality mode gets me ~ 37fps although not quite as sharp as TAA. Already very happy with the performance I’m seeing and still need to play around with some combinations of settings to see where I can improve.
Looks like I can hold off until 4090’s drop to a more acceptable price/secondhand as the 3090 is performing better than expected but knowing me, a glass or two of wine later and I’ll end up ordering one! 
Oh, and the JustFlight Hawk is utterly sublime in VR! Just need to get used to everything being in the headset now instead of having Android tablets on the side or my Loupdeck & Streamdeck for feedback and controls.
