There were graphical clipping issues that occurred while changing camera views in some instances. Perhaps whatever “fix” that got applied causes this problem as a side effect.
I’ve been flying the C172 G1000 version a lot and can’t say I’ve noticed any problems with camera height. If you move the camera position closer to the windshield, you can also raise it higher.
