Pilot Head Icon Appears Rather than Airport Icon on World Map

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Infrequently, the World Map will show a Career Mode “Pilot Head” icon rather than the green/orange airport “gunsight” icon. I have been unable to determine a pattern related to the cause. It is possible it only happens at Star Airports, but I cannot confirm this, due to the infrequency of the bug. Interacting with the map will cause the icon to revert to the correct airport-style icon.

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1. Utilize the World Map to select an airport via the Search Box and select the airport

2. Infrequently the icon will appear as a Pilot Head

Getting the same starting airborne. Moving the mouse pointer over the icon and the correct one shows up. I don’t know what could be the logic behind the “Pilot Head” icon.

That’s interesting - does that reproduce every time for you when you do those exact steps?

The few tests I did using starting airborne on the world map yes (so far).

Hmm…

It’s gotten a bit weirder.

Now it is showing real world traffic as Pilot Head Icons. Mousing over either of these reveals an N-reg aircraft:

This has been around for a while - I snapped this on October 27th in the free flight world map. Lots of AI aircraft with the incorrect icon :

I’ve seen this too. I’ve not found a reliable way of replicating and was waiting to do so before creating a thread. My flights are a mix of planned via EFB, planned via the from/to boxes in the UI and “fly now”. I’ll be more attentive to note what sequence I’ve used if/when the pilot heads reappear…
