pilot2Atc and MSFS AI traffic

I’m very happy with pilot2ATC. Finally ATC is consistent and reliable. Yesterday I tried including some AI traffic from MSFS.
It was very disappointing as even if I was properly vectorized to runway and authorized to land a huge airliner come from my back ad two times my speed and basically landed over me.
I assume pilot2ATC can’t do anything about MSFS AI Traffic.
I wonder how you guys (the ones that use pilot2ATC in combination with MSFS2020) handle this problem. Do you use real world traffic only? is there any possible strategy?

I’m afraid, we can do nothing about this. I simply live with that at the moment and I hope that the airport I just land on is not so crowded to get into the situation you described.

Surely one day there is going to be an ATC addon, which also controls Ai traffic. As far as I know Pilot2ATC also doesn’t control AI traffic in previous sims.

Well not in X-plane 11 anyway. There was talk about Dave (P2ATC) getting together with the World Traffic dev but i’m guessing that never happened.

Don’t know about P3d.

I don’t know whether this is possible at all in MSFS. There is a Thread regarding this matter: AI traffic control in SDK

You could try reducing the % of AI Traffic, which’ll reduce the chance of that happening. I think it’s cool Pilot2ATC can recognise the AI and report it being close. It’s down to the MSFS 2020 devs to make them controllable by external software. But that’s not the case with any sim so far as I know.

Doesn’t spoil an otherwise awesome bit of software which is a million times better than the default ATC in both 2020 and XP.

I thought Pilot2ATC would give a go around.

I know it gives me hold shorts.

well there’s no much difference between not using traffic at all and reducing the traffic. I mean. If I want to simulate traffic is because I want to simulate “dealing” with it. Hoping in the chance that no airplane crosses my way is not much different than just fully removing traffic.
I could also managing my speed as well such to avoid that collision but I’d like ATC to instruct me to do that.

I understand your point of view. For me it is more important to have planes and traffic around me than to deal with this traffic. But it surely would be nice, no doubt.

Sorry for going off topic, but pilot2Atc tells me about close traffic, but i cannot see them in the air…even if traffic settings is correctly on “Ai Traffic” and sliders are around 50%.
It seems to be a MSFS displaying issue…it used to work in the past and i could see airplane indicated by pilot2atc…it could be broken after upd 5 maybe
Is someone else experiencing same issue?

That and more. Just for a test I decided to check in with ground, get taxi routing, and start hover taxiing. I could hover taxi anywhere I wanted, take off and land, fly a pattern, etc., and P2A never said a word. Also the majority of time it gives me a runway that is exactly opposite to the prevailing traffic. It also doesn’t really care if you read back the clearance or not. Not very realistic for me.

The trick is to follow P2A instructions, not to act against them.
