Pilot2ATC issue

Hi all, I may be missing something with Pilot 2 ATC but I can’t seem to get it to read back my call sign using phonetics. It always reads back in normal speech which to my mind is a bit odd for ATC. For example if I want to say “Charlie Alpha Tango” as part of my call sign and press the say it button, it will read that part back as “CAT”. It’s the same when ATC gives instructions. Surely that can’t be right, can it?

Ok, I’ve come back to it after a while away and I have the latest beta version, but I don’t remember this behaviour previously. Is this normal, because I can’t find any option in the configuration screen to rectify this.

Thanks

I would suggest posting on their forums, the Developer (Dave) is pretty active / quick to respond.

Thanks I’ll try that :+1:

Are you a GA, Airline or Military call-sign type?

@ANCRM114,
I’m GA, but after a bit of messing and trial and error I’ve sorted it. It was my mistake entering the info incorrectly in P2ATC’s call sign section in the config screens. Slaps palm against forehead :rofl:

Thanks for responding.

@Rivet7038 NP. I was in Airline mode once and then put in a GA call sign and forgot to tick the radio button back to GA and it caused a similar issue.

Yeah that’s it exactly. Easily done I suppose.

I just uploaded a robust guide on setting things up including using Windows Voice training. I am a VR player who has been very happy with his pilot2atc implementation.

Thanks very much @FauxFlights,
