Could be soon(ish) !
I wouldnt expect it til winter
I found the picture online but I did actually have that toy as well. Late '60’s (and mine did have dual yokes). I guess we’re showing our age here
I have to say, the 777 looks like a great plane, but I do wish more reginal jets were available. Having time for a flight that is around an hour is a lot more common than 5-12 hour free time to do in MSFS.
The PMDG 777 includes a feature that allows time compression in the cruise, so you can still enjoy long haul routes within the 1-2 hour sim session timeframe!
Wow, now that’s a cool feature. PMDG really thought this out
Looked back in my logbook. Started this Ferry mission way back on May 5. Around the world in 3 months and a bit.
Avoided areas of conflict; the Middle East and the Ukraine.
And other places ‘not nice’. I tried to landing in Russia, but needed to stop of at a disputed island south of the Kamchatka peninsula.
Finally returned to Canada and this Twin Otters home at the Kenn Borek hangar.
Viking Air is just behind this hangar, so if I need spare parts…?
My next big trip is retry my Antartica Rescue mission. I’m thinking about getting the Rothera add-on. There’s not to many locations to land when going further inland. I’ll need to dig a little.
If anyone knows the specification of this internal Auxilliary Fuel pod, it would be appreciated.
I tried out this little freebie jet. I was looking for something for VR flying and the view from the cockpit is great. It’s imperfect and not super realistic, but it’s a cute little fictional plane.

It has some quirks and not as fast as you’d expect, but it’s extremely docile at low speeds. It feels almost like a prop trainer with how slow it can fly, giving you a great scenic experience in VR.
The L39 Albatros variants that Asobo did are really fine. I have the “drop bear” and flew it in VR too. It can do aerobatics, about 4000‘ of runway is enough for it and it’s crazy powerful at low altitude.
I can only recommend it, not free but at 10$ it’s not very expensive.
I checked with my next door neighbour, the Twotter can fit two of these bad boys, so if it’s the size of a Barrel, that’s 35 Gallons. So logically 70 extra gallons
More fast math and google; 280 lbs, call it 300 to include pump and instrumentation. 600 lbs?
Edit: call it 1000 lbs, need to secure that gear.
Nice! Are you using a mod for the downwash?
I started a German Bush Trip - From Helogland to Jolling and encountered a snall problem at the end of leg 3. This leg ends with landing at Berlin Tegel (EDDT). But this airport was closed in 2020 and is also not an airport in MSFS anymore - so leg 3 did not end even if you landed there.
Luckily the wisdom of the internet knew a solution: install an add-on that enables Tegel as airport again, which worked like a charm
Not quite back to base. Over the week I flew KMSP>KSEA>KPDX>KLAX>KDEN>KDEN>KATL>KLGA>KDTW.
Phew That’s a haul.
Buuumpy bumpy in to KDTW.
Playing on Xbox, decided to give the A320 v2 a proper spin on Monday after muking around with it at launch. Flew YPPH to WADD. I don’t have VATSIM so like to have the AI ATC yabbering away for a little bit of extra immersion. I missed it on this flight because the A320 v2 FMC doesn’t intergate with MSFS’s built-in flight planner.
Yesterday I flew WADD to RPLL in the A320 v2, but this time I planned the flight in SimBrief AND the built-in flight planner too. Great success. I had AI ATC to fight with once again and really enjoyed the flight.
Took a break from flying and watched Die Hard 2. Throwing things at the screen in the ILS hacking scene
Possible MSFS2024 feature request - When landing in IMC, have previously departing plane leave a trail of fire to guide you to the runway.
New ground service option. Send John McClane.
I sat in a Mig21 once in a kind of an open air museum and while I’m 184cm tall my eye level was waaaaay lower than yours in the pic. Not sure if the seat height is adjustable, the poor one I was in was in pretty bad condition, but my first thought was “you can’t see s*** forwards”
Total props and respect for both the airport crew and the pilot.
Been there, done that, and it’s not exactly a chocolate fondue party.
Question:
I thought that service vehicle colors were standardized by regulation. How did they get permission to paint the tug pink? Though I think it was totally righteous that they went to the trouble to do that.
This pilot must get a lotta’ respect there to have that many friends.
Looks really neat! Grats!
Also a bit of ranting:
I’ve received a MiniFCU from a really good friend of mine, but I haven’t used it much, since it’s really limited in terms of compatible aircraft. I really do not understand why there is only one general autopilot module on the market. I don’t really like the Saitek one and as such there is just none left to choose from. I’d really like somethig like the autopilot panel in the HondaJet or the Longitude, or even something less sleek, like the one in the King Air or the CJ4.
I admit there are a few versions in the price range of a thousand euros and there are some home brewed solutions, but I means come on Thrustmaster, or Logitech make something proper and affordable.
Sorry about that, I needed a bit of venting…
