Pilot's lounge - What did you do in MSFS today?

Just purchased MSFS2024 Premium Deluxe, for € 40! Finally!

And immediately deleted the Bing app from my phone, as I will never use it again.

Too bad the hobbs didn’t transfer from FS20 to 24, I can’t really say how much I’ve flown the VJet there, but definitely not as much as you did. I got upset after a time that EVERYONE gets directed ahead while I’m made doing orbits or detours to move faster trafic first, so I upgraded it to a HondaJet then to the Longitude.

None had the kind of windscreen superiority of the VJet though, so I didn’t exactly gave up on it, but used it less and less, especially on vatsim, where such things really matter for a busy airport.

Slowly improve my fleet in career mode today after a few career mode flights, then got rid of my non profitable aircraft in the fleet

So, what am I up to today in MSFS?

Honestly, I’m a bit tired of all the forum drama about BIOS  Sitting home alone, I figured I’d actually use my brain for something productive and start building a proper SPAD.neXt profile for the Fenix.

Funny thing is, I never thought that after all these years flying in sims like FSX, P3D and X-Plane, I’d suddenly fall in love with Airbuses.

Guess I’m getting old

FENIX really did their homework - if anyone’s wondering whether it’s worth buying the FENIX Airbuses, the answer is yes … it’s a must-have.

I agree completely, just recently started getting into commercial aircraft as I have been mostly a GA flyer, but bought the Fenix and man let me tell you, it is absolutely worth it!

Took the fs2024 Honda jet from Wayne county (KBJJ) to Hamburg Inc (4G2)

Do you like it? Tell me what you think!

It was good fun, I forgot I bought it in fs2020 when it can out an only flew it after seeing the update to fs2024 in the manger because I look for updates before flying everything, I enjoyed this update because I was able to put the wheel covers, and the other covers back on the aircraft after landing and taxing to the parking

It also showed up in the career mode fleet options when I was looking at building a career mode fleet up for vip transport so it went from a 4-5 to a 5-5 rating for me  (if I can’t career mode in it it will be rated a 4-5, if I can use it in career mode it earns a bonus star in my rating  )

[/quote] Shoot’n straight right there

You for sure earn your wings flying Kayak. You should post the ones you test, probably save a few headaches for some, like me. I may venture into the career portion myself. Never clicked not once. It’s all I can do to keep up with FF GA fiddling..it has stabilized a bit here for me though. Of course I understand time restraints, wheels up to you :airplane:..btw, I’d pay for a copy of your logbook…lol…must be thick…

Attempted to fly a short leg of my Round The World trip from Freeport to Treasure Cay in the Piper Pacer.

However, I crashed on approach and have had to start over again, that’s the rules on this trip.

I absolutely love that plane. Has decent performance, modern avionics, unique looks, what more one could want? Also you don’t need to pretend you’re a crew of two, since it’s absolutely certified for single pilot use. Oh and I also love the inbuilt checklist. I flew it at least a 100 hours in MSFS2020, though only once since it was updated to FS24.

As for the Citation X, I have that too, I love that too and really, you’re not paying for jetfuel in the sim, so I’m perfectly fine doing 1-2 hour flights in it. Initially FFX planned to make a G5000 version of it too (as the X+) and while it’s not officially off the table, I asked once in their discord channel and that upgrade is on indefinite hold.

Thanks for your comments! Regarding the Citation X, that is dual pilot. So lots of work for a single pilot. From what I hear, the HJ in 2024 is vastly improved!!! Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!!

Thank you both! I’m still early in my ATR experience, this was like 4th or 5th trip in it. Still, it was really a long landing I’d have been in real trouble if it was any bigger plane.

Yep, the Citation X is absolutely in the dial pilot category, which is partly why I don’t plan to abandon the HondaJet even if it doesn’t have the X’s performance. The other half is Garmin avionics

Are you using Mobiflight or Spadnext?

Flew around New Zealand in the Comanche. Breathtaking.
