Pimax Crystal, Not smooth in cockpit

When I look around in cockpit, I get this unsmooth panning (like a rapid small small small consistent stutter) I see it when I look out the windows, but it’s mostly irritating when looking at instruments and it gets blurry, unfocused when moving my head. Fps are good (55-ish).
13900K, 4090, Windows 11.
Does anyone else getting this?

It’s fine in the outside view, start menu and panning around Pimax Home Experience.
I have tried with and without HAGS, OpenXR Turbo Mode, Nvidia Reflex, Smart smoothing, but nothing seems to change this issue.

I have tried to look at some Youtubers panning around, but I don’t think the recording is capturing it, if it’s there.

I observed the same, especially on COM/NAV digits in propeller-driven small Cessna. 45 FPS. Maybe Motion Reproduction/Smart Smoothing will help.

I have to do some more testing, but it’s weird it’s only in the cockpit and not outside. It’s like vibrating when looking over the instruments to the copilot side. (Or anywhere else in the cockpit for that sake)

As I posted on another thread, make sure Motion Smoothing is not enabled by default, even though it is unchecked in the relevant device settings page. There is a status panel in the lower left, that shows if Motion Smoothing and/or foveated rendering is active. If so, just check and uncheck those options and they should turn off, which will then show up on the lower left indicators.

Both are off. But i have tried with them on, to see if it helps.
So you are saying that you can pan close over the instruments and it’s 100% smooth, like looking with your own eyes irl? I get that same feeling I got with TrackIR under 60fps.

Without motion smoothing of some sort, you will get judder as you move your head when looking at the instrument panel or the scenery, which will then go away when your head is steady. This will be more or less noticeable depending on your FPS. If you were to reach 90FPS in VR there would be no judder.

Thank you! Judder was the word I was looking for. Guees this is something we all have to live with more or less then. Reaching 90fps with good resolution it’s a RTX6090 away.

Are you using an RTX6090 with your Crystal ?

I meant that I probably have to wait for a RTX6090 before I reach 90 fps

Thanks for the help guys!
Basically I was worried that it was something wrong with my Crystal.
I haven’t had any issues so far after thorough testing and reading about uneven lenses, yellow dots showing up, blurry Vr-rock lenses, flickering, dead pixels, broken local dimming, unequal displays and short battery life.
Only thing half broken is the Pimax Software and that 0.5 second sound latency (Not thinking about it too much in Msfs), but that can only be better I hope.

Using depth projection in the MSFS settings made a big difference for me. Also just getting it to a solid 60fps / 120hz made things smooth. I do think you can end up over analysing it too. Sitting in the cockpit turning your head back and forth looking at every little stutter will drive you mad. But anyway, those two things have been pretty essential for me getting smoother. Oh and turning up ambient occlusion and anisotropy to full in sim.
