I’m a little unsure whether I should buy the 8kx. or rather wait until I get you Crystal. but that will be more like winter 2023🤣 what I like better about the 8kx is the big FOV. I’m currently on the road with the Pico. What is stopping me is the one direction and the sweet spot… how are your experiences?

I own the Pimax 8kx, as well as the 5k+ and a Valve Index.
For me I have pre-ordered the Crystal to replace the Index and the 8kx.
With the Crystal you should not need anything else, like lighthouses or controllers. Plus you will get the latest technology. The 8kx is already two years on the market.
So I am looking forward to receiving the Crystal sooner than later.

Thank you for your message. I’m just a little unsure about the FOV. that’s the same size with the Crystal as with the Pico 4.
Wide FOV doesn’t work well in the simulator anyway. In wide FOV I get all kinds of horizon artifacts and issues. Normal FOV in the 8Kx is still a bit wider than the crystal I think, but not far off - The Crystal is probably the way to go.

I expect the Crystal FOV to be more like the small FOV of the 8kx, similar to the FOV of the Valve Index.
For clarity at least the Pimax Crystal is streets ahead.
