Today I used my VR Pimax controllers in MSFS for the first time without making any adjustments to the control settings. They’re on default settings; the only change I made was to the “HOLD” option in the VR mode settings screen. It generally works well, however, I’m having trouble adjusting the left/right shifts by rotating my hand; this rarely works. The AP rotary controls work quite well so far, but I haven’t yet figured out how to press the buttons Altitude, V/S, HDG to switch from unmanaged to managed mode and back on the Airbus A320, etc. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could send me your recommendations and am very grateful for your support.

Is nobody flying wiht VR controller here. Would be really grateful getting some tips for a useful, intuitive and optimal configuration.
For the turning knobs and buttons I personally use the thumbstick, up/down left/right for. But you need to workaround a bit. I recommend applying the manual edit in this thread to get this to work:

Otherwise just teriary, secondary and primary actions need to be bound. I have primary on the “trigger”, secondary on the b button and teriary on the thumbstick click. It depend on the exact aircraft which does what, but I havent yet found anything that doesn’t behave ok with this combo. I never use the mouse, dont understand why people insist it being better than controllers.
I also highly recommend throwing up all the aircraft controls from the config binding, you dont want to fly with the thumbsticks.
This is for the Reverb G2 controllers, but I imagine the Pimax controllers should be similar enough.
I Never miss a single click using this settings , especially for push and pull on the Airbus .
You can watch my live streams to see how transparent it’s to use this way, im a real Airbus pilot btw, so I use the controllers exclusively to maintain my muscle memory
