Just purchased this product, thought it was the Got Friends product but no, it really is dreadful.
Just does not work. Why do Microsoft allow these sub standard products to be available on their official store front, they clearly do not test them.
Thanks for the warning. You should absolutely try to get a refund! Tell them you thought, you were buying the GotFriends version.
MS donāt care about quality in the Marketplace. They never have. Just like amazon doesnāt care about the quality of the products in their shop. Saying that: simmarket also sells everything as long as it brings in money.
MS only seem to test the products in regard to whether they will cause any problems with the sim.
Looks like itās made it to Youtube
Microsoft has a strict no refunds policy, and to my knowledge this is the only place you can buy the PixelPlanes DoubleEnder. I donāt know if anyone has found a way around the refund situation, but Iāve tried twice and had zero luck (with different planes, I already owned the Got Friends DE, though to be fair, I also would have 100% seen that this was not Got Friends, as it says it right on the product page.)
Iāve read multiple accounts here in the forum that a refund was granted. An attempt - especially in a case like this - is worth it in any case.
Not true. Iāve got refunds for three marketplace addons over the past two years. The process is outlined here Xbox Support
Thing is that the stupid way the marketplace is set up you donāt actually buy a plane or airfield or whatever but you buy a certain number of flight sim credits and then thatās used for the purchase, so when you request a refund you have to request whatever credits you spent on in the list. It seems that they just automatically will grant one or two a year without any hassle.
Also I own the MS Store bought version of the sim, dunno if itāll work for Steam. Guessing itāll be fine for Xbox though.
i find this to be an extremely shady business practice and is one of the reasons i wont buy from the marketplace unless its an aircraft i really want, and there is no alternative place to buy

Beats putting credit card details into the sim.
You still need to put a credit card into the sim to buy these ācreditsā.
Itās simply an unnecessary step that obfuscates your purchases and maybe that is what MS really wanted.
You should also buy the brandnew Fennec Airbus and the PMDD 737 that was released yesterday.
Both use the default 747 cockpit and fly Mach 3, it assume itĀ“s the same developerā¦
Or you could get one of those Xbox wallet cards like me, then no credit card details are needed.
@GamingCat2130 for real???
WTF ⦠thatās one of the most despicable ways to rip off people. Comes right after grifting little old ladies out of their measly pension ⦠disgusting.
MS should really kick that from the Marketplace. Thatās very close to fraud.
I assume it was an attempted joke, no 3rd party marketplace content is released on Tuesdays.
oh ok. Fell for it hook line and sinker
Sim equivalent of Poeās Law , where satire becomes indistinguishable from reality
For the Marketplace, there is a limit of 3 refunds a year. Anything after that will be denied until your rolling year is up. There are some products in the Marketplace though that state āNo Refundsā. I do not know if Microsoft complies with that or not, so there may be exceptions if the vendor explicitly states no refunds given.
So, I think the problem is I have the Steam version. To purchase an addon, it buys Steam credits. That makes it non-refundable for me. Glad to know thereās a way for some though!
Fair point. Doesnāt Steam have a refund policy though? I realize itās quite convoluted but if the Marketplace allows refunds too then I would think it should be possible. Definitely worth getting customer service involved (on both sides). Otherwise itās a potentially nasty loophole.
Steam, similarly, will not refund the purchase because it in turn was to purchase Microsoft store points, not any actual product sold by Valve. Itās a convenient way for both parties to absolve themselves of any responsibility.
