I noticed that the names of places and poi are way off where they lay in the scenery?
Can I do something about that?

Everything if off as far as I can see, but I don’t remember if it has always been like this.
Find an airport you know well, and look where the dots for parking spots are. You will often find them perfect in relation to each other, but often too far East or North etc. so they sit in a residential area. Note this does not actually affect where you spawn, but only the world map alignment.
