In an aircraft there’s virtually no deadzone and it was very similar with my Lotus and now with my Mini.
Flying an aircraft which would behave liky my Landy did, would be rather frightening 
If you are using a yoke, roll response/deadzone is less of a problem than precisely controlling pitch.
