Please add a dedicated passenger and cargo and other variants to the WT/iniBuilds 707-320C

Title. The combi is neat but the true, full 707 experience is only going to be obtained with a full passenger cabin. So, please add a dedicated passenger and dedicated cargo variant to the newly updated 707.

a BIG +1 to them adding additional variants of the 707!

The only version I see with the highest potential is the 320B or 320B Advanced, with the latter being the most similar to the 320C and thus would require the least modifications. The alternative and perhaps better variants would be something similar to PMDG ability on the 737NG to switch between cabin layout via the tablet in the cockpit ie. 320C full passenger layout or the present 320C Mixed cabin layout.

Anything else would definitely require more work, remodelling and thus increase costs beyond economical benefits.

Kind regards.

Well, in my opinion we don’t even talk about specific “versions” of the aircraft (like the -230B, which is the all PAX version), more about specific “configurations” as we speak about the -320C (so Convertible).

I found a scanned 1961 document which specifies all possible configurations that can be used on the same airframe. Technically it would basically be in line with how the different cabin layouts on the iniBuilds A350 work.

Some examples:

Obviously it would not be possible to reflect all configurations considering the price tag of the aircraft, however I think the most interesting ones would be the current one, the “eleven pallets” cargo one with 9 seats and the all passenger configuration.

With these three layouts basically all common types of operations can be simulated.

The -320B version would only have the benefit of no visible seam where the cargo door is situated on the -320C, everything else (even the windows layout) would close to be the same as I don’t think they would adjust systems/the cockpit (remember: less than $20).

I just wanted to ask if it’s possible to make other variants of the 707, for example, a 707-400 or 707-320 with JT4D engines. or the Rolls-Royce Conway engines which most European airlines used, like the Lufthansa one in the picture.

Lufthansa 707-400 Equipped with Rolls-Royce Conway engines

Turkish airlines 707-320 Equipped with JT4A Turbojet engines

Note: After I already asked about it on the inibuilds forum, inibuilds suggested I should ask on the Microsoft forum instead.

Note: developers who are tasked with making aircraft for Microsoft
hand over the finished product and thereafter, all decisions as to how to
respond to customer suggestions can only be answered by Microsoft,
who are the new owners of the model.

We absolutely need the full passenger configuration of this beautiful aircraft. Let WT and Inibuilds cook Asobo! They did a fantastic job on the aircraft as is.

This is by far the best Famous Flyer or Local Legend plane I have tried (and Ive tried most of them because I have the aviators edition). It would be a shame not to have a full PAX version. It’s really odd not being able to look from the cockpit back into the passenger cabin or the other way around. That bulkhead in front of the seats looks really odd.

Would love to see all these variants, please WT and iniBuilds!

I’m perfectly happy with the plane as is, and for $10.00 or whatever it costs it’s the best bargain in the marketplace IMO, but I do support those who ask for both full pax and full cargo layouts, it would certainly be great to have pax loading through the jetway instead of rear stairs, when at a gate, and it would be nice to have a full cargo version that the ATC (Beyond ATC in my case) would send to cargo instead of Pax parking.

I doubt requests for different engines and so on will be fulfilled, given the price point and the work required. That said, I’d love those upgrades too and would be willing to pay for it if it ever happens.

In fact the most common configurations to my memories from lengthy debates in the past were the all pax configuration and the 13 palettes version as used towards the end of the lifespan of the 707. The eleven palettes plus nine seats was rather more uncommon with the majority of airlines.

Also, I noticed the Cockpit door seems wrong with the partial window, as the real ones never had it. It appears that the door was modelled from an example in a museum like Sinsheim where the replaced the real one with a window to allow people to look in without entering.

Finally, the cabin in a second “wide body” look would represent the post 1970s very well. Airlines like Varig, Cathay and a few more opted for this look replacing the hat racks with bins.

Really appreciate the remodel and work title.

Kind regards.

Would implore the devs to give us the short body 707 as well such as the 707-120/-120B and the Boeing 720/720B.

Just the bottom pic would be perfect. If they keep the combi as is, we have all we need.

For these specific changes that would not be economical. Better wait for the Aerial Simulations then. Which will be more high fidelity too btw.

I second that emotion!

Good point.

If you ever consider doing the other variants, I have plenty of performance data on the 707-120B, -138B, -320 (JT4) and -420 which I can provide!

I fully support this request, and I hope Microsoft hears the users looking for this option. I would gladly pay reasonable amount for a copy considering the extra work of the project, should Microsoft deem necessary to cover the development costs.
